City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to join our team of Professionals in our corporate office. CLP is a private Utility Development Leader supporting the federal government, military institutions, municipalities, and major utilities across the US with financing, design, engineering, construction, and ongoing operations and maintenance for electrical transmission and distribution systems, and outdoor lighting.
KeyDuties And Responsibilities
- Develop and administer a fleet management program that tracks service and replacement of all company vehicles.
- Develop a preventive maintenance program and schedule to maximize utilization and minimize operational delays.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations.
- Provide technical advice on vehicle and equipment acquisition and maintenance.
- Manage budget preparation and administration; monitor and control expenditures.
- Monitor and track vehicle inspections; compile data for reports; analyze and report usage statistics.
- Assist in ensuring compliance of driver qualification documentation and maintain DOT-required compliance records.
- Track, audit, and maintain all DOT-required training records, driver credentials, driver qualification files, and automotive files.
- Ensure all permits and inspections are up-to-date and valid.
- Use data and analytics to monitor fleet performance and identify improvement areas.
- Manage and utilize fleet management software, telematics, and GPS tracking systems.
- Collaborate with outside vendors to acquire equipment, parts, or services.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, finances, and other metrics for executive management.
- Enforce safety regulations and policies at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate or Bachelor degree in logistics, business administration, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7+) years of experience in the transportation industry with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Expert knowledge of best practices in vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
- Commercial Driver's License preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety standards for commercial and non-commercial fleets.
- Training or certification from NAFA or NATMI is a plus.
- Strong math and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software.
- Understanding of vehicle mechanics and ability to identify major repair needs.
- Ability to establish and monitor a budget.
- Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional organization, time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
Minimal travel expected.
Work Authorization/Security ClearanceYou must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Valid driver's license is required.

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year based on experience plus eligibility to participate in a Short Term Incentive Plan. We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.
