A leading beverage distributor is hiring a Transportation Supervisor for Denver, CO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Knowledge of how to operate and work with computerized inventory systems such as SAP/KEA. Coordinates daily driver functions with other management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures.
- Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and government regulations. Investigates safety concerns and accidents to minimize future exposure to losses.
- Works in conjunction with Transportation Manager to maintain appropriate staffing levels of delivery routes, truck drivers and support personnel to ensure daily distributions are delivered.
- Confers and cooperates with other management personnel in formulating administrative and operational policies and procedures as they relate to the transportation division.
- Monitors and reviews daily driver delivery performance to ensure optimum delivery efficiency. Recognizes deficiencies in performance and addresses personnel with appropriate corrective measures.
- Monitors driver hours of service and coordinates with router and dispatcher to ensure compliance with DOT guidelines.
- Coordinates daily routes with the Transportation Manager and logistics router in conjunction with the information in Road-Net.
- Communicates with the Sales Department to ensure accurate, timely and courteous deliveries are the standard.
- Investigates causes of customer or shipper complaints and responds accordingly.
- Coordinates efforts to ensure that all required training and follow-up training is conducted and proper documentation is maintained.
- Seeks opportunities for increased operational activities and prepares recommendations for upper management.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer SkillsBasic warehouse software and Windows functions such as SAP, KEA, Excel, and Word.
