Are you a CDL professional looking for a local, steady position where you can help ensure the next generation of drivers meets industry standards?

At Commercial Driver Testing, we are hiring CDL Third-Party Examiners to conduct state CDL exams and ensure drivers are properly tested for safety and compliance.

No prior third-party examiner certification is required—we provide training and full support to help you obtain certification through the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and complete DPS-approved examiner training.

With locations across multiple states, we offer career stability and opportunities for growth within our network of testing centers.

Responsibilities
  • Administer CDL Exams – Conduct Pre-Trip Inspections, Yard Skills, and Road Tests following state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure Compliance & Safety – Evaluate candidates based on CDL testing standards while reinforcing safe driving habits.
  • Maintain Accurate Records – Document all examination results thoroughly to meet state regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Fair & Objective CDL Testing – Maintain professionalism and impartiality in all driver assessments.

Requirements
  • Valid CO CDL Class A license
  • Minimum 3 years of CDL A driving experience.
  • Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Physical ability to operate a Class A motor vehicle safely.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Thorough knowledge of CDL driving standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience as a CDL instructor is a plus, but not required.
