TIG Welder​/Fabricator

Our opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/TIG Welder for our Denver, NC location

Responsible for complex types of weld preparation and welding operations

• Set up and regulate M.I.G and T.I.G. welding equipment for current/voltage to appropriate weld pieces to customer drawings and specifications
• Able to M.I.G. and T.I.G. weld stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum materials
• A strong understanding of fit-up, clamping, fixturing, or holding parts in relative position to avoid distortion and shrinkage
• Sand/grind corners and edges for proper fit-up
• Maintain proper weld penetration, quality of fit and overall dimension of parts and make adjustments to correct irregularities, deviations, and shrinkage
• Perform required maintenance on welding equipment
• Must provide his/her own hand tools and welding hood
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Use tape measure, squares, clamps, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, vertical and horizontal band saws, cut-off tools, welding equipment, belt sanders, 4.5” and 8” hand grinders and any other hand tools required for fabricating.

High School diploma or equivalent, 5 years production/job shop experience. Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day and lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
