Position: Clinical Allergy Specialist

The Clinical Allergy Specialist manages the day-to-day operations related to allergy care, including administering allergy tests, educating patients on allergen immunotherapy, and providing patient-centered care to allergy sufferers in the community. The role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities within a medical provider’s office and operates under the supervision of a physician.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain understanding of allergens, allergic responses, clinical protocols, and immunotherapy benefits.

Administer safe and effective allergy testing and formulate allergy immunotherapy.

Educate patients on administering injections of immunotherapy.

Follow up with patients to monitor progress and ensure timely pickup of immunotherapy.

Complete paperwork and verify insurance eligibility for each patient.

Manage patient scheduling via in-person, phone, or centralized protocols.

Handle and submit billing documentation through appropriate EMR systems.

Maintain clinic inventory levels, ensuring proper ordering and receipt.

Build and maintain professional relationships with providers and staff.

Escalate patient or other questions to the appropriate team member or provider promptly.

Contribute to meeting clinic and company goals regarding productivity and revenue.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

At least one year of full-time experience in healthcare, hospital, nursing, or related medical technician certification(s) as required by local regulations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in computer use.
