Shift: Nights | 19:00 – 07:30 (12-hour shifts)
Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly skilled NICU RN to join the team at a Hospital in Denville, NJ for a 13-week travel assignment. This position is a backfill for a departing traveler and requires a clinician who is comfortable in a high-acuity environment. You will provide critical care to neonates and support families during their most challenging moments.
Key Responsibilities- Acute Neonatal Care: Manage the specialized needs of premature and critically ill infants in an ICU setting.
- Clinical Monitoring: Perform continuous monitoring of vitals, respiratory status, and development, making quick adjustments to care plans as needed.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside neonatologists and specialists to execute complex treatment plans.
- Family Advocacy: Provide essential education and emotional support to parents and families regarding neonatal health and post-discharge care.
- Emergency Response: Maintain readiness for neonatal resuscitation and other emergency protocols.
- Experience: Previous experience in a Neonatal ICU (NICU) is required. Recent acute, in-hospital experience is strongly preferred.
- Certifications:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Licensure: Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Skills: Proficiency in neonatal assessment, specialized equipment management, and critical care nursing.
- No On-Call: This position does not currently require on-call hours.
