Assistant Athletic Coaches

The Morris County School of Technology is seeking athletic Assistant Coaches for the 2025-26 school year who can fulfill the following responsibilities under the supervision of the Head Athletic Coach and/or the Athletic Director/Assistant Principal:

• Displays and holds student-athletes accountable to outstanding sportsmanship and conduct
• Adheres to the plan set forth by the head coach for the organization and guidance of a sports team
• Provides support to the head coach in scheduling contests; maintains the team roster, reports scores, and reports statistics to the required outlets
• Ensures that all athletic contests, varsity or JV, have two coaching representatives present
• Supervises games and assists the head coach in determining safety conditions of fields and equipment
• Performs other jobs related to the athletic program as directed by the Head Athletic Coach, Athletic Director/Assistant Principal

Playing and/or coaching experience in the respective sport is preferred.

• All candidates must possess a valid New Jersey Teacher or Substitute Certificate and meet all guidelines as established by the NJSIAA and the MCVSD (see NJSIAA handbook pg 124‑125)
• Candidates must be willing to be trained and serve as a medical delegate for student athletes
