Product Development Manager

BAGS CITY GROUP is a retail company that specializes in Luggage, Bags, and Travel Accessories. Started its Journey since 1992. Bags City sells well-known brands like Lojel, Thule, Bagasi, Case Logic, and Travel Blue. Available in 30 Showrooms and 100 Department Stores throughout Indonesia. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and strategy, considering market trends and customer needs
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources for product development projects, ensuring timely and successful product launches
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials, ensure quality control, and optimize production processes
• Establish and maintain quality standards for products, ensuring compliance with brand specifications
• Develop and execute product roadmaps and strategies aligned with the company’s goals and market trends
• Work closely with design, marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development and launch processes
• Manage the product development timeline, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Design or Industrial Design or other related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, preferably in the footware, fashion, outdoor gear industry or other relevant industry to bags and luggage.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end product development
  : from concept, material sourcing, prototyping, sampling, to mass production.
• Strong knowledge of materials and construction techniques
  , including textiles, synthetics, leather, hardware (zippers, buckles), and structural components.
• Hands-on experience working with vendors and manufacturers (local and/or overseas), including sample follow-up and production coordination.
• Ability to create and interpret tech packs, BOM (Bill of Materials), and product specifications
  .
• Good understanding of costing, pricing structure, and margin optimization
  .
• Strong sense of design aesthetics balanced with functionality and durability
  .
• Familiarity with quality control standards and product testing (durability, load, wear & tear).
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g.,
  Adobe Illustrator, CAD, or similar
  ) is a plus.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple timelines and seasonal collections
  .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, sourcing, and production teams
  .
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willing to be placed in Taman Tekno, BSD.
