Position Highlights
- Provide direct psychiatric care to inpatients, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Oversee medication management and ensure evidence-based clinical practices are followed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity and coordination of care within the psychiatric department
- Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and other clinical staff as assigned
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and evaluations to maintain the highest standard of patient care
- Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills to support department operations
- Ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and regulatory guidelines governing mental health services
- Support the hospital's mission and model of care by promoting patient-centered practices and operational excellence

Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO)
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
- Active or eligible Connecticut medical license
- Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
