Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Position Highlights

• Provide direct psychiatric care to inpatients, including comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning

• Oversee medication management and ensure evidence-based clinical practices are followed

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity and coordination of care within the psychiatric department

• Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and other clinical staff as assigned

• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and evaluations to maintain the highest standard of patient care

• Demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills to support department operations

• Ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and regulatory guidelines governing mental health services

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO)

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams

• Active or eligible Connecticut medical license

• Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
