Endocrinology Physician Opening Äì Derby, CT47 miles from Hartford, CT and 75 miles from NYCPosition Details:

  • Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders, including:
  • - Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational) - Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules) - Adrenal and pituitary disorders - Growth and puberty disorders - Osteoporosis and calcium disorders - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Interpret laboratory tests and imaging related to hormonal conditions
  • Develop and manage long-term treatment plans, including medication, hormone therapy, and lifestyle guidance
  • Monitor chronic conditions and adjust treatment as needed
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists
  • Educate patients on disease management and prevention
  • Procedural & Administrative Duties:
  • Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic testing (e.g., hormone stimulation and suppression tests)
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
  • Academic & Research (Optional):
  • Teach medical students, residents, and/or fellows
  • Participate in clinical research and publication
  • Stay current with advancements in endocrinology and metabolic care
  • Requirements:
  • MD degree
  • Completion of Internal Medicine residency
  • Fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
  • Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
  • Strong experience managing chronic endocrine conditions
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and communication skills
