Endocrinology Physician Opening Äì Derby, CT47 miles from Hartford, CT and 75 miles from NYCPosition Details:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Outpatient-focused with potential inpatient consults

- Suburban setting with easy commute and free parking Clinical Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders, including: - Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, gestational) - Thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules) - Adrenal and pituitary disorders - Growth and puberty disorders - Osteoporosis and calcium disorders - Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Interpret laboratory tests and imaging related to hormonal conditions
- Develop and manage long-term treatment plans, including medication, hormone therapy, and lifestyle guidance
- Monitor chronic conditions and adjust treatment as needed
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists
- Educate patients on disease management and prevention Procedural & Administrative Duties:
- Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic testing (e.g., hormone stimulation and suppression tests)
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Ensure compliance with clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives Academic & Research (Optional):
- Teach medical students, residents, and/or fellows
- Participate in clinical research and publication
- Stay current with advancements in endocrinology and metabolic care Requirements:
- MD degree
- Completion of Internal Medicine residency
- Fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
- Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
- Strong experience managing chronic endocrine conditions
