MAIN FUNCTION: Provides support in all office activities; provides clerical support; processes all insurance, completes all billing and coding functions and is responsible for managing the Radiation Oncology electronic medical record.
EducationHIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA REQUIRED. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
ExperienceMinimum 1‑year experience in a busy medical office required. Radiation Oncology office experience preferred; computer proficiency required, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, internet browsing, and medical practice management software. Knowledge of insurance company procedures and policies; government, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities; CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS coding; anatomy and medical terminology; and basic mathematics.
