Mental Health Worker, Full-Time EmPATH Unit
Location: New Haven, CT
Provide a variety of direct services to patients in the Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing (EmPATH) Unit.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
- Obtain and record vital signs, orient patients to the unit, and assist with feeding and routine physical care as directed by a nurse.
- Perform phlebotomy, assessment, and planning tasks.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Co‑lead group sessions, implement treatment approaches, and provide appropriate observation of patient status.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of schooling in psychology or a related field (experience preferred).
- Rotating weekends required.
