The Role:
Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will manage a portfolio of domestic and international customer accounts, driving collections and helping to maximise cash flow. Working closely with Sales, Events and Finance, you will manage outstanding balances, resolve queries and ensure payments are secured ahead of major events.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer accounts, ensuring invoices are paid within agreed terms. Proactively chase outstanding debt by telephone and email. Monitor aged debt, identify risks and implement effective collection strategies. Produce accurate customer statements and maintain up-to-date debtor records. Ensure outstanding balances are resolved ahead of event opening dates. Investigate billing queries and work with customers and internal teams to resolve issues. Reconcile sales information between the CRM and Net Suite.
Minimise credit notes, unallocated cash and other payment delays. Liaise with Sales regarding contracts, payment terms and credit risks. Support event teams when required, including payment processing and customer interaction.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for a confident, proactive and commercially focused Credit Controller who is comfortable managing challenging conversations and taking ownership of their ledger. Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable. Net Suite experience – highly desirable. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Experience with multi-currency accounts and FX transactions. Good understanding of VAT; international tax knowledge advantageous. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. A resilient, results-driven approach. Events, exhibitions, media or other fast-moving industry experience would be beneficial. Why Join?
