Part Time Finance Controller

We’re looking for an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller to join their team on a 2-day-per-week, office-based basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership and providing valuable financial insight to support the wider business. DAY TO DAY Preparing monthly management accounts and providing clear financial insight Taking ownership of the month-end process and ensuring deadlines are met Preparing and managing VAT returns Overseeing import tax and related financial requirements Managing payroll processes and ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time Completing regular reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records Working closely with senior management Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls Ensuring the smooth and effective running of the finance function WHAT WE'D LOVE TO SEE Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Management Accountant or similar senior finance position Strong technical accounting knowledge and solid month-end experience

Experience with VAT, payroll and reconciliations Knowledge of import tax or international trading would be advantageous Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach Commercially aware, with the confidence to provide advice and challenge when required A hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership Comfortable working within a fast-paced, premium brand environment ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience Be able to do 2 full days IN RETURN £48,000 salary pro rata 20% annual bonus 22 days' holiday pro rata 2 days per week, office-based in central Bath A varied role with plenty of autonomy and responsibility The opportunity to make a real impact within the business A professional, collaborative working environment in a fantastic central Bath location Please apply today to be considered for this role!
