Position: MOT Tester / Prep Technician
We are currently seeking an experienced MOT Tester / Prep Technician to join a reputable main dealership located in Derby. Monday to Friday working week with alternate Saturday mornings (08:00 – 12:00)
Full-time hours (42.5 hours per week)
Duties of a MOT Tester / Prep Technician:

Perform Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations
Carry out vehicle preparation, servicing, inspections, and light mechanical repairs
Identify additional repair requirements and report accordingly
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and dealership standards
Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately as a MOT Tester / Prep Technician
Collaborate with the workshop team to optimise workflow and customer satisfaction
Maintain high levels of attention to detail and quality workmanship

Requirements of a MOT Tester / Prep Technician:

Valid Class 4 MOT Tester licence
Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Proven experience in a dealership or professional workshop environment
Good mechanical repair and servicing skills
High attention to detail and pride in work quality
Full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)
Strong communication skills and team-focused attitude
