Overview

Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) role at a luxury and supercar bodyshop.

Location:

Derby. Salary: £42,000 with Car Allowance.

Their reputation is built on precision, craftsmanship, and uncompromising quality, and they are looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their expert team.

The Role

As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will deliver accurate, high-quality repair estimates while maintaining the exceptional standards expected in the luxury automotive sector. You will liaise with customers, insurers, and technicians to ensure a seamless repair journey for high-value vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles, including high-value and prestige marques
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates using systems such as Audatex, MACE, or GT Motive
  • Utilise platforms like Partslink to identify correct parts and pricing
  • Determine repair methods in line with manufacturer repair standards
  • Liaise with insurance companies, engineers, and customers
  • Manage repair processes from assessment through to completion
  • Ensure all work meets BSI / manufacturer / insurance compliance standards
  • Maintain exceptional levels of customer service and professionalism
About You
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator (VDA)
  • Experience working with prestige, luxury, or high-performance vehicles (highly desirable)
  • ATA accreditation (or working towards) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of modern repair techniques, materials, and methods
  • Skilled in estimating systems (Audatex, MACE, GT Motive)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A genuine passion for automotive excellence and luxury vehicles
