MET Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MET Technician at a prestigious accident repair centre in Derby, Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MET Technician to join a renowned team working on some of the most prestigious and high-performance vehicles in the industry. Duties:

Prepare vehicles to a high standard, ensuring quality of work
Complete mechanical, electrical, and trim strip and refit work
Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and communicate findings effectively
Conduct vehicle strip and refit work with precision
Assist in developing EV knowledge and maintain compliance with relevant standards
Collaborate with colleagues on larger repairs to meet deadlines
Report additional work requirements to the Bodyshop Advisor
Maintain product knowledge and technical expertise
Uphold high standards of workmanship and customer service
Maintain accurate work documentation and good housekeeping practices

Requirements:

Previous experience as an MET Technician or in a similar role

Experience with in a main dealership or accident repair centre, ideally with premium vehicle brands
Strong mechanical, electrical, and trim knowledge
Proven ability to strip and refit vehicles to a high standard
Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team
Good communication skills and technical literacy
Confidence in using computer platforms and systems
Accident repair and/or ATA qualification is desirable
Enthusiasm to enhance technical knowledge and skills
