Are you an experienced Children's Home Manager looking for your next challenge?
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bed Children's Residential Home in Derby, supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive organisation that is committed to delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes for young people. You'll be responsible for leading a passionate team, ensuring high-quality care standards, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
The RoleAs Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards while delivering exceptional care and support.
You will:
- Lead, motivate and develop a residential childcare team.
- Create a positive, child-centred and therapeutic environment.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of the service.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
- Manage care planning, risk assessments and placement outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and partner agencies.
- Oversee staffing, budgets and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement and service development.
We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and has proven leadership experience within residential childcare.
You’ll have:
- Experience with in a Children's Residential Home setting.
- Previous management or senior leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Salary of £51,500 - £60,000 per annum
