Are you an experienced Estimator looking to join a market-leading principal contractor delivering complex demolition, earthworks and civil engineering projects across some of the UK's most challenging sectors?
Our client is a highly respected contractor with a strong reputation for safely delivering large-scale demolition, remediation and enabling works projects nationwide. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team.
Location:
Derby / East Midlands
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (DOE) + package
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings
- Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Undertake site visits and risk assessments
- Develop pricing strategies and value engineering solutions
- Liaise with operational, commercial and bid teams
- Support negotiations and client presentations where required
- Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases
- Proven estimating experience within demolition or civil engineering (3+ years).
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office packages
