Senior Structural Technician

Position: Senior Structural Technician |
A well-established and growing structural engineering design consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join its Derby office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education and mixed-use sectors. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural drawings and models, working closely with engineers, architects and contractors from concept through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

Produce detailed structural drawings, plans and construction details

Develop and coordinate 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit

Work closely with Structural Engineers to deliver design solutions

Prepare reinforced concrete, steelwork, timber and masonry detailing

Attend design and coordination meetings where required

Ensure drawings are delivered accurately and within project timescales

Support junior technicians and share technical knowledge

Liaise with architects, contractors and external consultants

Requirements

Experience working as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment

Strong AutoCAD skills

Revit experience is highly desirable

Experience producing structural drawings for building structures projects

Good understanding of steel, concrete, timber and masonry construction

Strong communication and coordination skills

Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
