Teacher Active is presenting an exciting role at a mainstream primary school in the Derby area. They are looking for someone to join their dynamic team on a long term contract from September to deliver engaging lessons within a Key Stage 1 setting. Whether you have years of experience or you’re a ECT, we want to hear from you!

The role with be working in a Key stage 1/KS1 environment, teaching a year 1 class. You must have experience working in a KS1 environment and have knowledge of the current curriculum. Not only will you be teaching the class, but you will also provide a safe and healthy environment following safeguarding procedures. This specific role will be a full time placement, running up until the end of the summer term 2026.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working as a Primary Teacher in KS1
A passion for education and making differences to children’s lives
Self-motivated and passionate
