Cover Supervisor

Zest Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Derbyshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a positive impact in the classroom.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the class teacher.

• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

• Provide support and guidance to students where needed.

Requirements

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

• Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).

• A genuine interest in education and supporting student development.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
