English Teacher

Part-Time English Teacher – Secondary (KS4–KS5)
3 Days per Week | End of Week | Immediate Start Until End of Academic Year

Education Personnel, one of the leading education recruitment agencies in Derbyshire, is seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher for a part-time position at a highly regarded secondary school in the Derby area.

This role will begin from the first week of term and continue until the end of the academic year, offering a stable and rewarding opportunity within a supportive and well-established school community. The timetable will be three days per week, focused towards the end of the week.

The Role

* Teaching English Language and Literature

* Delivery primarily at Key Stage 5, with Key Stage 4 considered

* Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons

* Supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes

* Working collaboratively within a well-resourced English department

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

* Be a specialist English teacher with recent classroom experience

* Have experience teaching KS5 (preferred), or strong KS4 experience

* Be confident delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards

* Be reliable, adaptable, and committed for the duration of the placement

Requirements:

* QTS is essential

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

* Ability to commit to three days per week until the end of the academic year

* Willingness to register with Education Personnel
