Part-Time English Teacher - Secondary (KS4-KS5)

Education Personnel, one of the leading education recruitment agencies in Derbyshire, is seeking a qualified and experienced English Teacher for a part-time position at a highly regarded secondary school in the Derby area.

This role will begin from the first week of term and continue until the end of the academic year, offering a stable and rewarding opportunity within a supportive and well-established school community. The timetable will be three days per week, focused towards the end of the week.

• Teaching English Language and Literature
• Delivery primarily at Key Stage 5, with Key Stage 4 considered
• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
• Supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes
• Working collaboratively within a well‑resourced English department

• Well‑led and inclusive secondary school with a strong academic reputation
• High expectations for both staff and students, balanced with excellent pastoral support
• Well‑behaved, motivated pupils who value learning

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Be a specialist English teacher with recent classroom experience
• Have experience teaching KS5 (preferred), or strong KS4 experience
• Be confident delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards
• Be reliable, adaptable, and committed for the duration of the placement

• QTS is essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to commit to three days per week until the end of the academic year
• Willingness to register with Education Personnel
