This is a long-term opportunity, starting as soon as possible and running until the end of the academic year, working five days a week. Full-time or part-time applications will be considered.
The Role
You will play a vital role in launching Year 7 pupils into their secondary school journey, working within a dedicated AP setting designed to support transition, nurture confidence, and re-engage learners who may find the move to secondary school challenging.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering targeted learning support and structured interventions for Year 7 pupils
* Supporting smooth transition from primary to secondary education
* Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and SEN teams
* Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning
* Acting as a consistent, trusted adult within the AP environment

* Strong values-led ethos with a focus on inclusion and pupil wellbeing
* Excellent leadership and supportive senior management
* Well-resourced AP and pastoral provision
* Commitment to professional development and staff support
* Warm, collaborative culture where staff feel valued
You will be joining a setting where relationships matter, early intervention is prioritised, and staff are genuinely empowered to make a difference.
Requirements
* HLTA qualification is essential
* Experience working with KS2 or KS3 pupils, ideally in transition, AP, or nurture settings
* Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* Calm, resilient, and proactive approach
* Availability to start immediately
Why work with Education Personnel?

* Honest guidance, clear communication, and ongoing support
