The Opportunity
A well-established secondary school in Derby is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their department from either April or September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach Triple Science or KS5 depending on experience. The school offers a structured learning environment, clear behaviour systems, and a collaborative Science team.
The Role
Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
Use assessment effectively to track progress and raise attainment
Maintain strong classroom routines and positive behaviour management
Differentiate learning for mixed-ability classes
Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities
What We're Looking For
QTS or a recognised UK teaching qualification (or on track to achieve)
Strong subject knowledge in Science
Experience teaching at secondary level
Confident classroom presence and effective behaviour management
Commitment to a long-term role in one school
ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
