Overview:
Education Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a progressive and well-respected secondary school in Derby to recruit a dedicated English Teacher for a full-time position starting April 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ENGLISH educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially ENGLISH KS5.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the KS3 & KS4 English curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced
Plan, prepare, and assess English lessons in line with department policy
Monitor student progress and implement appropriate interventions
Contribute to department improvement planning ENGLISH
Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required
The Ideal Candidate :
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has at least 6 months of classroom teaching ENGLISH experience in a UK secondary setting
Is passionate about Business education and student achievement
Has excellent behaviour management and communication skills
Demonstrates a collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to school life
