As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with children who require additional support to access learning, develop communication skills and build confidence within the classroom.
You'll receive excellent mentoring from an experienced SEND team while supporting pupils with autism, SEMH and additional learning needs through structured interventions, classroom support and personalised learning activities. This Learning Support Assistant role is perfect for a Psychology graduate, aspiring Primary Teacher or future Educational Psychologist looking to build meaningful school-based experience. Key Highlights:
Learning Support Assistant full-time role from September to July 2027 £ 100 £ 115 per day depending on experience Outstanding Primary school in Brent, North West London Supporting EYFS and KS1 pupils with autism and SEMH Fantastic opportunity for Psychology graduates and aspiring teachers Excellent pathway into teacher training from September 2027 Large Primary school with outstanding SEND provision and resources What You'll Be Doing:
Support children with autism and SEMH on a 1:1 and small-group basis Deliver targeted interventions across phonics, literacy and numeracy Encourage positive behaviour, communication and emotional development Adapt learning activities to meet individual SEND needs Work alongside teachers and the SENDCo to monitor pupil progress Ideal Candidate for this Brent Primary School:
Graduate with a 2:1 or First-Class degree Experience as a Learning Support Assistant or supporting SEND is highly desirable Strong understanding of autism, SEMH or additional learning needs Aspiring teacher, Psychology graduate or future Educational Psychologist Patient, resilient and committed to helping every child succeed Why Join this Brent Primary School?
