Teacher Active is recruiting Primary School Teachers for flexible supply roles across Derby and the surrounding DE postcode areas. Opportunities start in September and include day-to-day cover, short-term assignments, and longer-term placements.

Role Overview

The role involves:

Delivering engaging lessons across the Primary Curriculum
Following existing lesson plans and adapting activities as needed
Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
Supporting pupils with diverse abilities and learning needs
Assessing pupils’ understanding and providing constructive feedback to school staff
Collaborating closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and senior leaders
Ensuring consistency and a positive learning experience for all pupils
The successful Primary School Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
A flexible, reliable, and professional approach
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
