A-Level Tutor Support Students Through Advanced Study and Exam Preparation
We're looking for an experienced A-Level Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities
, you'll provide tailored academic support to learners studying A-Level qualifications across a range of subjects. Many students require alternative educational provision and benefit from a flexible approach that helps them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and achieve their academic goals.
We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:
- Crawley
- Worthing
- Horsham
- Chichester
- Bognor Regis
- Littlehampton
Location: West Sussex
Level: A-Level
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements- Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting
, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles - Strong knowledge of one or more A-Level subjects
- Experience teaching or supporting post-16 learners
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
You'll work with young people who may:
- Be studying A-Level qualifications
- Require alternative educational provision
- Have SEND, EHCPs, or additional learning needs
- Experience anxiety or barriers to education
- Need support rebuilding confidence and engagement with learning
