We are working with a leading renewable energy organisation to recruit an O&M Technician to support the operation and maintenance of utility-scale energy assets across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on technician to play a key role in ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of operational renewable energy projects.
Location:
South Midlands, UK
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance and technical performance of operational assets, supporting the wider O&M team in delivering projects in line with contractual KPIs and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Maintenance- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on renewable energy assets
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults across sites
- Monitor system performance and identify optimisation opportunities
- Ensure assets operate in line with contractual KPIs and performance targets
- Assist with diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues
- Support remote monitoring and fault response (SCADA systems where applicable)
- Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams when required
- Work closely with O&M Managers, contractors, and suppliers
- Support coordination of subcontractors attending site
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and efficiently
- Adhere to HSE policies and procedures at all times
- Support site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports
- Contribute to performance reporting and documentation
- Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline
- Experience in O&M, maintenance, or field service roles within energy or infrastructure
- Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of renewable energy systems (solar PV, BESS, or similar preferred)
- Familiarity with SCADA or monitoring systems is advantageous
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
