Engineering and Product Quality Manager

If so, an excellent opportunity has become available to join a market-leading aerospace manufacturing business based in Derby.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering, NPI/NPDI and Product Quality activities across the site. The focus is weighted towards manufacturing engineering and new product introduction, supported by strong product quality knowledge. You will lead teams through the full lifecycle of complex aerospace components, from initial enquiry and NPI through manufacture, delivery and quality resolution.

Engineering & Product Quality Manager

Key Responsibilities
Lead Manufacturing Engineering and Product Quality teams to deliver right-first-time, cost and delivery performance
Own and drive NPI/NPDI activities, taking complex precision components from concept through to production
Establish, develop and continuously improve manufacturing and product quality processes
Resolve technical and product quality issues, liaising with customers and internal stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, PFMEA, FAIRs and capability development

Essential Experience
Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering within a complex, multi-stage precision manufacturing environment
Proven experience leading NPI projects from concept to delivery
Demonstrated capability managing and developing engineering teams
Solid understanding of product quality tools and issue resolution

Experience with in machining, fabrication or aerospace manufacturing environments
