Our client is a well-established specialist contractor with experience delivering end-to-end solutions in wet civil engineering and environmental maintenance, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in East Midlands.
This role will play a key part in ensuring the successful financial and contractual management of projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:
Take ownership of the commercial performance of allocated projects.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Produce detailed budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow reports.
Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers.
Promote and ensure compliance with environmental standards and sustainable practices.
Manage valuations, applications for payment, and maintain accurate commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience Required for Quantity Surveyor:
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong professional values and a collaborative approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Proven experience in commercial management within construction, civil engineering, or a similar sector.
Solid understanding of contracts, cost control, and financial management.
Ability to manage stakeholder relationships confidently, fairly, and professionally.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Chartered status (RICS/ICES) or actively working towards chartership.
