Our client is an award winning Civil and Structural Engineering firm who offers services throughout the construction sector. They operate across the UK and cover other areas such as Transport Engineering, Geotechnical and Environmental Engineering. They cover various sectors such as blue light, commercial, education, health care, industrial, leisure, residential, rail, retail and more.

They are now on the lookout for a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team in their Derby office.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and drafting of SuDS schemes, private external works, Section 38 and Section 104 works for adoption across sectors including residential, industrial, commercial and more. Designs range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes and range in value up to £30 million.

Design works are undertaken using Micro Drainage, Info Drainage, Civil3D and PDS software's with final drawings produced in AutoCAD.

The role will also involve assisting the senior leadership team with the planning and organisation of tasks, people and resources to deliver projects on time and in accordance with the current design guidelines.

The ideal candidate will hold 5+ years experience working as a Civil Engineer in a consultancy environment as well as a relevant qualification.
