Senior Electrical Design Engineer 12 Month Contract

Inside Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis across flexible UK locations. Role

Purpose:

To lead and deliver electrical design solutions across major water and wastewater projects, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient engineering outputs while supporting multidisciplinary project delivery. Job

Role Responsibilities:

" Lead electrical design activities across the full project lifecycle " Produce and review technical deliverables including: o Single line diagrams o Load schedules o MCC / switch gear specifications o Control system architecture " Act as a technical authority for electrical engineering across projects " Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, industry standards, and internal quality processes " Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and project stakeholders " Support bid development, design reviews, and subcontractor management " Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases " Mentor junior engineers and support team development " Manage design scope, budgets, risks, schedules, and quality outputs Experience / Skills / Knowledge /

Qualifications:

" Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline " Strong experience within water, wastewater, or process engineering sectors " Proven expertise in: o Electrical power distribution systems o Control systems and automation o Integrated system design " Good working knowledge of CDM regulations and engineering standards " Strong communication and stakeholder management skills " Ability to lead design delivery and work collaboratively across teams Desirable: " IEng / CEng (or working towards) " Previous leadership or senior-level experience " Experience mentoring or managing engineers
