You will be team lead to deliver design and Integration of aero engine components and assemblies – Apply principles product safety, robust design, system engineering, DFX and producibility. Work with the Integrated project team in a collaborative environment to mature the design through gated technical reviews, securing buyoffs by demonstrating that the physical and functional solutions provided achieve the desired product requirements and attributes such as life, cost, weight, serviceability.
Deliver definitions for manufacturing – this may be done in the traditional drawings or Model Based Definitions whilst complying to the customer operating procedures and best practices. To be part of the team with experience of modelling, drafting and MBD on a variety of complex components and sub-assemblies in core turbo machinery domain (such as Compressor, combustion, Rotative discs, casings, structures, Turbine Statics, shafts etc.)
may be advantageous.
- You may need to Integrate physical design solution at module level and / or with the owners of nonphysical data functional such as Air Systems, Oil Systems, aerothermal, Performance, etc.
- On need basis, address the arisings from the fleet and perform route cause investigation to help improve the safety, Reliability and Availability;
Also assess impact on the component assemblies based on changes to the understanding of the engine operating conditions. - Knowledge of gas turbine components or an understanding of material, thermal, mechanical, and dynamic issues associated with the core turbo machinery components / modules (such as Compressor, combustion, Rotative discs, casings, structures, Turbine Statics, shafts etc.) may be advantageous.
