The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join an established engineering team, working within a fast-paced production environment where reliability, preventative maintenance and effective fault finding are key. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining production machinery and site equipment, responding to breakdowns and completing planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and keep production running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment. Respond to and diagnose electrical and mechanical breakdowns . Carry out fault finding and repairs to minimise production downtime. Complete routine plant and machinery inspections. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential faults. Work with PLC-controlled machinery, inverters and automated equipment . Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.

Work with pneumatics, hydraulics and conveyor systems . Accurately record maintenance activities using the company's CMMS system. Support continuous improvement and engineering projects. Work closely with the production team to maintain equipment availability. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.

The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, FMCG or similar production environment. You should have experience in:
Electrical fault finding Mechanical fault finding PLCs and automated machinery Inverters / drives Pneumatics Hydraulics Conveyors Planned preventative maintenance Breakdown maintenance CMMS / maintenance management systems An engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification would be advantageous. Shift Pattern Panama The role operates on a Panama 2-2-3 shift pattern , working 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis.

6:00am6:00pm Days 6:00pm6:00am Nights Rotating blocks of days and nights 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on, followed by the opposite rotation The Panama pattern provides a structured rota with regular periods of time off.
