Job Description Tooling Designer / Mechanical Designerð

Your future Team:

Your will be joining an Embedded Team as a Tooling Design Engineer / Senior Mechanical Designer.  You will be responsible for performing full lifecycle engineering activities across a range of engineering projects which will form part of the submarine’s new build and development programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

ð ️ Designing tooling, jigs fixtures and components that meet customer requirements ð Produce outline designsð§ Identify, formulate, and produce solutions to emerging problems ð¡️ Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety ️ Alter and modify design to meet requirements customer requirementsð
· Estimate budget and scope of project️ Management of Risk and Opportunityð Prepare product reports and documentationð Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods

Join us and help shape the future! ðQualificationsð Experience in similar roles with specific emphasis (but not limited to) Valves, Pressure Vessel, Structural, Tooling or Lifting Equipment Design.️ Proven working experience in mechanical engineeringð Understanding of relevant design codes and safety legislation 𧭠Ability to define budgets/work programmes for complete design project life cycles e.g., requirements capture, concept design and detailed design.ð§ª

knowledge of materialsð️ Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar)ð Familiarity with PLM systems (Team centre or similar)
