Competitive Salary:

Band 8a.0 £ 55,276 pro rata + 30% evening enhancements and 45% weekend enhancements

Job responsibilities

With us, every call makes the difference. Our NHS 111 teams are there when people need urgent help, offering safe, compassionate advice day and night.

As an NHS 111 Clinical Practitioner youll Bring:

  • Autonomous clinical assessment skills and experience managing complex, common urgent care presentations.
  • Registered Nurse, Paramedic or Pharmacist (NMC, HCPC, GPhC) with prescribing rights
  • Evidence of robust clinical decision-making and risk management
  • Excellent communication skills, able to negotiate, explain and support patients and carers
  • Confidence using telephony-based clinical triage and digital systems
  • Compassion, professionalism and a commitment to lifelong learning

Person Specification Experience
  • Can show evidence of using autonomous physical examination and assessment skills in practice
  • Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children
  • Has experience in one of the following: nurse led clinics, emergency care centres ,out of hours facilities, urgent care services or walk in centres
  • Can evidence experience and competence in providing telephony based assessment and care in an urgent care setting or primary care setting.
  • Experience of Emergency Care
  • Experience of General Practice
Qualifications
  • Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Non medical Prescriber
  • Evidence of Autonomous Practice Qualification such as :

    -Autonomous practice A33
  • Level 6 or 7 Clinical Examination Module
  • Level 6 or 7 Minor Illness Module
  • Recognised clinical assessment, decision making and risk management.
  • BSc (Hons)
