About

the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Project Lead to drive the delivery of strategic HR initiatives across the organisation in partnership with functional leads. This role will lead the end‑to‑end management of key HR projects — from design and planning through to implementation and embedding within the business.

The successful candidate will combine strong project management capability with expertise in process optimisation, organisational change, and stakeholder engagement. The role will work closely with HR, business leaders, and external partners to deliver scalable, compliant, and people‑focused solutions that support organisational growth and operational excellence.

As a HR Project Lead you will HR Project Delivery
  • Lead the delivery of HR projects across the employee lifecycle.
  • Alongside the relevant functional lead, manage projects from design through to implementation, governance, and post‑launch optimisation.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Coordinate across the People team including People Partners, People Services, Payroll, HRIS, Talent Development and Talent Acquisition.
Process Optimisation
  • Review and redesign HR processes to improve efficiency, consistency, employee experience, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop scalable operating models and governance frameworks to support future growth.
Change Management
  • Lead organisational change activities associated with HR initiatives.
  • Build communication plans, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Support leaders and employees through transitions, ensuring successful adoption of new processes and ways of working.
  • Deliver training and guidance materials where required.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the People team and business.
  • Translate business needs into practical HR solutions.
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting, and recommendations to the People Leadership Teams.
  • Influence decision-making through data, insight, and structured project governance.
About you Essential
  • Proven experience leading HR project delivery programmes or HR change.
  • Strong project management capability with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience in process improvement and operational optimisation.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering change management initiatives within complex organisations.
  • Knowledge of core HR disciplines including Talent Management, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Job Architecture and Reward.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on in delivery.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capability.
