Unsuccessful probation
Disciplinary and grievance matters

Occupational Health and family-friendly matters
Supporting wider People projects and organisational change
You'll work directly with managers, helping them understand the right course of action and providing pragmatic, legally sound advice, while escalating more complex matters to the People Partners where appropriate.

Importantly, you'll have:
Strong, hands-on Employee Relations experience
Experience advising managers on sickness, performance, unsuccessful probation, disciplinary and grievance matters
Strong and up-to-date UK employment law knowledge
Confidence interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures
The ability to build credible relationships with managers and provide practical, solutions-focused advice
The ability to manage a varied workload and work with a good degree of autonomy
Experience with in a charity or a regulated environment, supporting TUPE processes or working with trade unions would be particularly advantageous.
You'll have responsibility for supporting colleagues and managers within the Derby service, while working alongside two People Partners to support services across the wider organisation. There is flexibility around where you are based, provided you are comfortable travelling when required, including attendance at the Wimbledon office approximately once every couple of weeks to connect with the wider People team.
This is a great opportunity to join a purpose-led organisation where you'll have the autonomy to use your HR expertise, work closely with managers and make a genuine contribution during the six-month assignment.
If you're an experienced HR / People Advisor who can quickly get up to speed and confidently handle first-tier ER matters, we'd love to hear from you
