Job Summary This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys operational HR work, employee relations support, and contributing to wider people initiatives. This role is ideally suited to someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day HR activities, providing first-line advice to managers and employees, and supporting a range of HR projects. It is not a senior HR Business Partner position;
the organisation is seeking a practical HR generalist who can quickly integrate into the team and provide operational support during a period of additional business need.
Key Responsibilities Provide first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters. Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding and induction activities. Assist with absence management, probation reviews and flexible working requests. Provide guidance on family leave policies and procedures. Respond to routine HR queries and policy-related matters. Ensure HR records, documentation and systems remain accurate and compliant.
Support compliance and governance processes. Assist with policy reviews, updates and implementation. Contribute to workforce planning initiatives, HR projects and organisational improvement programmes. Build positive relationships with stakeholders across the organisation. Person Specifications Previous experience within an HR Advisor, Junior HR Advisor or HR Officer position. Strong generalist HR knowledge across a broad range of employee relations and HR operational activities.
Experience supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR queries. Good understanding of absence management, probation management, flexible working and family leave processes. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
