Overview
2nd Line Support Engineer - MSP (Derby, Onsite)
We're partnered with a well-established Managed Service Provider based in Derby that supports a broad range of SME and mid-market clients across the region. Due to continued growth, they're looking to bring in a capable 2nd Line Support Engineer to strengthen their technical team.
This is an onsite, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, technical ownership, and working across multiple customer environments. You'll be a key escalation point from 1st line while gaining exposure to more complex infrastructure issues and projects.
The role- Acting as a 2nd line escalation point for service desk tickets
- Supporting and administering Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
- Supporting Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and One Drive
- Working with Azure AD / Entra basic Intune policies
- Troubleshooting networking issues across switches, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi
