Are you an IT Service Manager who can help build a new team of Support Analysts? Can you introduce best practice in still a culture of accountability & ownership? Are you happy for 20% of your time to still be hands on?

Our client voted in the top 100 companies to work for, is looking for a Service Desk Manager to lead a small team and grow this function.

Bringing more of this service in‑house you will still be working closely with 3rd party IT Service providers.

Managing a team of 1st/2nd line support analysts. You will be responsible for their general well‑being, learning & development, and work allocation.

You must be working in a management or leadership role now and be used to setting KPI’s / SLA’s, attending meetings, and engaging with the wider business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow service desk team to improve customer satisfaction KPIs
  • Maintaining and enforcing a high-level support standards and procedures
  • Improving quality of work and processes whilst focusing on customer satisfaction
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ service desk/IT support experience including team leadership/management duties
  • Working within a customer service role alongside IT technicians and engineers
  • Experience in utilising the ITIL framework in the delivery of IT services
  • ITIL environment experience, certification is a bonus
  • Experience in desktop support, Microsoft & Office 365 suite (Outlook, Exchange, etc.). You’ll receive training on any business applications outside of these.

Salary on offer is up to 45K + Bens. Free parking onsite. Office‑based with site visits. Some flex when settled into the role. Office based in the East Midlands, commutable from Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester.
