IT Support Engineer, 2nd Line Desktop Support Engineer, Windows 10, O365/Exchange, server, Active Directory, MS Office, Cloud/Azure, Bespoke Software, SQL, SCCM, InTune – Office-based role.

Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Engineer/Service Desk Analyst to join the IT team during a significant change. This well‑established, award‑winning company has grown during the pandemic, opened new sites, and invested in a multi‑million‑pound technology initiative. They have an impressive history and an exciting future.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as a point of contact for phone calls and emails regarding IT and software issues and queries.
  • Escalate unresolved calls to L3 and infrastructure support team.
  • Maintain an Asset Database and track changes.
  • Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status, communicating progress in a timely manner.
  • Publish support documentation to assist staff with requests for information.
  • Report to Team Lead on any issue that could significantly impact the business.

Candidate profile:

  • 2+ years of IT Support Desk experience (or equivalent).
  • Self‑motivated achiever who gains satisfaction from providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisational and problem‑solving ability.
  • Strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi‑task effectively.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Service Desk Team by working together to improve existing processes and technical understanding.

Salary and benefits: £25,000–£30,000 pending experience, pension, free parking. Commutable from Leicester, Nottingham & Derby. Office‑based role.
