About the role

We’re looking for a Technical Solutions Consultant to join our External Services team, specialising in account management and consultancy relating to learning platforms and pedagogy, especially Moodle LMS.

This is a varied role sitting at the intersection of technical consultancy, client relationship management and business development. You’ll work with a number of our key clients and accounts, especially in the higher education sector, to understand their needs, provide expert advice and identify opportunities to help them make better use of their online learning platforms.

The role will also offer opportunities to contribute to platform solutions, feature demonstrations, innovative new approaches to pedagogical and technical problems, service development, platform development and industry events.

We’re particularly interested in someone with experience of Moodle and/or Totara who enjoys working directly with clients and stakeholders, has demonstrable commercial acumen and is keen to develop their consultancy skills.

• Build deeper relationships with key clients and partners whose requirements benefit from a strong technical focus.
• Use your technical knowledge in a consultancy and advisory capacity, identifying opportunities to increase the value and scope of the services we provide.
• Support sales activities, demonstrations and new business opportunities.
• Work closely with our External Services, Software Development and Business Development teams to understand and refine suitable solutions to client requests.
• Contribute to the development of new services and solutions that respond to emerging client needs.
• Keep up to date with developments across Moodle, Totara and the wider digital learning sector.
• Represent Catalyst at industry and networking events.
