We are delighted to be working on behalf of a leading law firm in the area, who are seeking an experienced Floating Legal Secretary to join their friendly and professional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary or Paralegal who enjoys a varied role and is confident supporting different teams and fee earners.

Key

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Providing high-quality secretarial and administrative support to fee earners across the firm.
  • Preparing, formatting and amending a variety of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Organising and maintaining accurate legal files and documentation.
  • Carrying out audio, digital and copy typing.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post, emails and correspondence.
  • Monitoring deadlines relating to client matters and ensuring relevant fee earners are notified promptly.
  • Maintaining and updating client files, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Assisting with general office administration, including photocopying, scanning, filing and document management.
  • Providing flexible support across different departments and teams as required.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator or Paralegal
  • Previous experience within a law firm or legal environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across different departments
  • Positive, proactive and professional attitude
  • Ability to hit the ground running and provide effective support from day one
