Derby | Full time | Monday to Friday
Salary: £26,000 + performance bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Assistant to join a well-established and growing product-based business. This role would suit either a graduate looking to build a career in supply chain/purchasing, or someone with some experience in buying, procurement, stock control or manufacturing operations who is ready to develop further.
You will join a supportive supply chain team where you’ll gain hands-on experience across purchasing, supplier liaison, logistics coordination and stock planning, with full training provided.
The Role
• Support the sourcing and purchasing of components, raw materials and finished goods
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, confirm pricing and track deliveries
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, delivery schedules and stock records
• Monitor stock levels and assist with forecasting demand
• Communicate with logistics providers and production partners to ensure smooth operations
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure supply meets business needs
• Prepare reports, update spreadsheets and support data analysis
About You
This role is ideal if you:
• Are degree educated OR have experience in purchasing, supply chain, stock control or manufacturing
• Have excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills and enjoy working with data
• Have strong organisational and analytical skills
• Are a confident communicator able to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
• Have a genuine interest in supply chain, procurement or operations
• Are proactive, detail-focused and keen to learn
