About the role
Part time 16 hours a week. As a Housekeeping Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do. It’s what shapes our care across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist homes. Our Residents are people with rich lives and personal stories. By joining HC-One, you’ll help give something back — through care, respect, and attention to detail. You’ll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home.
Your work will make a real difference every day.
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
- Following cleaning schedules and tasks set by the team lead
- Using products safely and following hygiene procedures
- Supporting infection control and safety standards
- Helping with laundry and linen care
- Reporting any issues or repairs as needed
You’ll take pride in your work and keep everything spotless. Whether you’re ticking off tasks or jumping in to lend a hand, you’ll do it with care and compassion.
Qualifications and expectationsSome housekeeping experience is helpful, but full training is provided. You’ll need to be organised, manage your time well, and work with attention to detail. Most of all, you’ll bring a positive attitude and be kind and respectful in every conversation — with Residents, visitors, and your team.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if there are concerns, attend safeguarding training suitable to your role, and be able to seek appropriate advice, report and, if required, escalating concerns.
