Installation & Service Technician | Derby | Up to £35,000 + Vehicle and great benefits
Are you the kind of person who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, meeting customers and learning new technology? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity to join an innovative and growing business that is making workplaces safer across the UK.
We are looking for an Installation & Service Technician to join a growing team in a newly created role due to continued business growth and increasing customer demand.
This is a varied role that combines field-based installation work, customer support, product setup, training delivery and ongoing account management. One day you could be installing equipment and configuring systems on customer sites, while the next you could be delivering training, supporting customers with reporting software or helping them understand important health and safety compliance requirements.
We're interested in speaking with practical, people-focused individuals who enjoy working with power tools and technology. You may come from manufacturing, production, engineering support, construction, field service, supervisory or other hands-on environments. Equally, if you're someone with strong DIY skills, a practical mindset and the ability to build credibility with customers, we'd love to hear from you.
The successful candidate will be confident communicating with people at all levels, both face-to-face and remotely. You'll be comfortable delivering engaging training sessions to groups, building long-term customer relationships and learning technical product knowledge, software platforms and industry regulations.
What you'll be doing:
Installing and configuring equipment on customer sites.
Delivering customer training and ensuring successful system adoption.
Providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance.
Building strong customer relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
Reviewing data and helping customers understand compliance and best practice.
Travelling extensively throughout the UK to support customer projects.
What we're looking for:
A practical, hands-on approach and confidence using power tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A willingness to learn technical and regulatory information.
Good computer literacy and confidence using software systems.
The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
A full UK driving license.
Flexibility to travel regularly and stay away from home when required.
In return, you'll receive full product training, the opportunity to work with innovative technology, a high degree of variety and autonomy, and the chance to build a rewarding career with a business that continues to grow and invest in its people.
If you're looking for a role that combines technology, customer interaction, travel and hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you.
